Notice on Unauthorized Server Access at Sojitz Subsidiaries Outside Japan

Sojitz Corporation (“Sojitz”) has been made aware on September 26, 2024, that the servers of Sojitz subsidiaries outside Japan have been subject to unauthorized access by a third party.

Sojitz is currently working with external cybersecurity experts to assess the scope of impact. After discovering the breach, Sojitz implemented measures to remove and restrict server access and notified the relevant authorities. At present, Sojitz has not confirmed any data leaks resulting from this incident.

We sincerely apologize to all stakeholders, including our customers and shareholders, for the concern this incident has caused and will continue to take appropriate measures to address this incident and safeguard information. Updates regarding this incident will be disclosed promptly.
