Sojitz Forms Strategic Partnership with AEON Product Finance Co., Ltd. – Launching culumo, a Car Distribution Platform Developed and Operated by Sojitz –

Sojitz Corporation (“Sojitz”) has announced it will conclude a strategic partnership agreement with AEON Product Finance Co., Ltd. (“APF”), an AEON Group company providing loans and other financial services.

In recent years, advancements in digital technologies have altered the market environment and influenced consumer trends. As a result of these digital advances, the automotive industry is also seeing a major shift in its sales methods and models. Under this strategic partnership, both APF’s loan services and financing functions and Sojitz’s car sales functions will leverage digital and online technologies to realize a new total car life service business that combines the real and digital worlds.

As APF and Sojitz’s first joint initiative, AEON card members (approximately 29.4 million card holders) will be offered additional benefits such as access to Sojitz’s B2C/C2C car distribution platform, “culumo,” and auto loans provided through APF starting from November 25, 2021.
