Sojitz Aviation and Marine B.V. (Head Office: Amsterdam, Netherlands; General Managing Director: Masashi Miyakura), a local subsidiary of Sojitz Corporation, has established a liaison office in Athens, Greece.

Greece is one of the world’s leading shipping countries. Sojitz's predecessor, Nissho Iwai Corporation, was the first Japanese trading company to establish an office in Greece in 1970.  In March 2021, the office was closed due to organizational changes.

Through the Athens liaison office, Sojitz aims to improve its ability to gather information related to shipping in the region around Greece and to build further relationships with our customers while simultaneously taking on the challenge of developing new business for the purpose of new value creation.
