Sojitz Corporation of America (Head Office: 1120 Avenue of the Americas, 7FL, New York, NY 10036, U.S.A.; Representative Director: Koji Izutani; “SCA”) will open a new office in San Jose on May 1^st, in California’s Silicon Valley.

In recent years, the rapid spread of IoT, IoE, and AI * has impacted an ever-widening range of industries across the world, and this impact extends to the business spheres of general trading companies. Silicon Valley is located at the center of this movement, attracting major IT companies, entrepreneurs, and startups. Nissho Electronics Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masakazu Okamura; “Nissho Electronics”), a subsidiary of Sojitz Corporation, was one of the first Japanese companies to establish a local subsidiary in California back in 1985. Over 30 years, it has been actively involved in analyzing IT industry and technology trends, discovering opportunities with startups, and pursuing new business development.

SCA will utilize its San Jose office as a base through which to further collaborate with Nissho Electronics going forward, gathering and providing information on the latest local IT business and startups in order to introduce customers to the latest technologies, support implementation of these technologies, and discover opportunities for new investments and business tie-ups.
