NITEC Corporation Forms Tie-Ups with Two Indian Software Companies in IT Support Business

TOKYO (July 31, 2001)--NITEC Corporation has formed alliances in the field of IT support business with PENTASOFT TECHNOLOGIES and SIMPLEX SOLUTION, India-based companies that provide advanced IT technology in short time-frames at low cost.
The IT support business is concretely defined in the four points below:
1.Dispatch engineers from India to Japanese companies (including foreign-affiliated companies) to perform development business in Japan.
2.Perform contracted software/program development in India.
3.Perform sales of economical Indian software such as ERP/SCM, developed for small and medium-sized companies.
4.Provide Japanese engineers with IT and English language training in India.
In compliance with the business tie-ups, over 30 personnel have been already dispatched to foreign-affiliated companies in Japan. In contracted developments in India, both PENTASOFT TECHNOLOGIES and SIMPLEX SOLUTION enjoy business achievements in Y2K related, JAVA-based and CAD development.
Through this alliance, NITEC Corporation will emphasize 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) in addition to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), SCM (Supply Chain Management), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Web-related solutions, and will aim at the establishment of total solutions.
Moreover, the resources of the Indian IT companies will be utilized for localization of application software from overseas, including the United States, which NITEC Corporation handles. Excellent total solutions will be offered at competitive cost, including not only sales but also dispatch of engineers who are in short supply.
In addition, NITEC Corporation will aim to offer services to Japanese-affiliated companies that have made inroads into Southeast Asia.
