The Sojitz Group conducts initiatives that promote Group employees' participation in grassroots social contribution activities with the aim of deepening their involvement in local communities.

Donation

Collected used stamps and postcards with uncancelled stamps from Group employees. Employee volunteers sorted the items and donated them to an NPO
Blood Donation
Conducted twice during the year in company meeting rooms
Japanese Red Cross Seminars
Carried out two training sessions on use of automated external defibrillator (AED) to provide knowledge and practical experience in order to assist others
Support for the Disabled
The Swan Cafe & Bakery’s Akasaka shop, a bakery that helps disabled people achieve independence, conducted regular sales in the Company. We also used the bakery for in-house catering and promoted sales of its Christmas cakes
Local Community Cleanup Campaign
Participated in twice-monthly street cleanup campaigns organized by the NPO Greenbird
Community Volunteer Activities
Participated in activities including volunteer work at facilities near Sojitz offices
Other Volunteer Activities and Charity Events
Established a section on the Company intranet for exchanging information about social contribution activities

Disaster Relief Activities

When there is a disaster in Japan or overseas, the Sojitz Group cooperates in providing relief for victims and restoring the disaster area through monetary donations and financial assistance.
